We’re busy at Rave Retailer. A company focused on technology kinda has to be.

We come from all walks of life and varying work backgrounds. On our team you’ll find programmers, graphic designers, consultants, writers, visionaries, customer service staff, accounting staff, researchers, organizers, and more. We’ve gotten the business of creating websites down to a science but that’s not really our style. For us, it’s about the people, the relationships. Ask any one of our clients and they’ll tell you how we roll. But the thought of being busy got me thinking. What happens in just a moment’s time? You’ll be surprised to know.

Check out this visual provided by Education Database Online that graphically shows the magnitude of a moment.

Kinda crazy, right? More important for us are all of the things that happen in a moment from a technological standpoint. Wow!

Did you know that 2,000,000 search queries are made on Google each minute, and 684,478 pieces of content are shared on Facebook? Pretty amazing if you think about it, but those are just two of the many things happening in a minute around the web. Check these out:

  • More than 100,000 tweets are sent
  • The mobile web receives 217 new users
  • 3,600 photos are shared on Instagram
  • Email users sent 204,166,667 messages
  • 48 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube
  • Brands and organizations on Facebook receive 34,722 new “likes”
  • 571 new websites are created
  • 47,000 apps are downloaded from the App Store
  • $272,000 is spent be consumers on web shopping!
