You already know a little about us if you read our blog or have had business interactions with us. In the most general sense, Rave Retailer is a technology company. We offer user-friendly web tools via our Rave Retailer Dashboard SaaS (software as a service), White Label Tools, Custom Built Websites, Facebook Apps and more.
Look a little deeper though, and you’ll see our owners and employees have expertise across a wide variety of industries and trades. This week, we’re happy to feature Co-Owner of Rave Retailer, David Lively, as he was recently selected as an Executive Board Member of the NEW North American Home Furnishings Association, otherwise known as the NAHFA. Furniture Today recently released an article outlining the members and details of the newly selected 36-member board of directors; a board created by a merger of retail groups — the National Home Furnishings Association, Western Home Furnishings Association and Home Furnishings Independents Association.
“With so many savvy entrepreneurs on each board, the selection process was lengthy and daunting” said Sharron Bradley, the NAHFA’s CEO. “We are so grateful to these talented people who give so freely of their time and knowledge.”
The NAHFA says its membership will include more than 10,000 stores in all 50 states and several foreign countries. It will have offices in the East, West and Central United States.
Besides co-running Rave Retailer, Rave Retailer Sites and Rave Retailer Apps with business partner, Rafferty Pendery, he is busy with his own consulting business, The Lively Merchant. David brings to the table over 20 years experience in all areas of the retail home furnishings industry, from the sales floor to the warehouse to the boardroom. He has talked the talk and walked the walk all the way from family-owned, single-site stores to multi-state, multi-million dollar operations; from sales training to computer programming; from warehouse construction and operations to financial management; and from new store construction to complete renovation.
