Why is it that there’s always a catch in any decision you make in life and in business? In scaling your business, it seems that you always have to sacrifice one thing for another, and in most cases, there are no win-win situations because we often settle for the “safest” choices. However, if you were presented with a business hack to get the best of both worlds in growing your business to 6, 7, 8, or even a 9-digit revenue, would you take it? Of course, you would! Business hacks are also life hacks because they’re interconnected. We do business so that we can live a better life.
Now, the question is, which of these scenarios resembles your business and life accurately?
Scenario #1: You’re a business owner of a company that sells products or certain types of services. You try to figure everything out because you feel like you’d be more capable and qualified than anyone to work on the foundation of your business. You start building your website and then you also manage the marketing side of it all. In this case, you’ve already compromised your time. Sure, you might have done a great job setting everything up, but you consumed so much time that you could’ve used your skills to grow your business instead of setting something up that another person could’ve done better.
Scenario #2: You pay different people or companies according to their role in helping you manage and grow your business. Not to mention, you’re already paying Shopify, Wix, or WordPress just for being on their platform. Furthermore, there are many more fees that come with all these plugins and functionalities that you never even predicted you’d spend a lot of money on. This time, you’re trading money for convenience.
Among the first two scenarios, you might be thinking that Scenario #2 is the way to go if you have the money. However, it’s not just money you’re trading for convenience, it’s also inefficiency. Things can get very messy when you have a discombobulated group of companies working for you in different sectors of your business.
The second scenario still has holes because the process is slow. The website company that helped you set everything up will have to coordinate with the marketing company that you hired unless they’re one and the same. Moreover, the in-house person you have will serve as the link between all these other companies that you have hired to become your arms and legs for the business. This can be a huge headache for you or the person serving as the middleman.
Another thing to consider would be the fact that you have no direct ties to Shopify, Wix, or WordPress. These website platforms are so big that their owners, board members, don’t care if a certain “bug” or technical concern is killing your business. You’ll have to pay your website person/company several hours just to reach the reps of these big platforms, and there are no guarantees that the reps of these famous website platforms can even fix these technical concerns for you.
It’s so messy that it would just make a business owner in his or her freshman years completely give up.
As a sales rep, I only sell what I completely believe in. I have recommended Wix and WordPress so many times (and Shopify too) because I honestly believed that they are the best platforms out there. However, when I learned more about this ecommerce platform called Rave Retailer, what stood out to me wasn’t its features or its built-in “plugins.” You can go to the website and go through the long list of things that it offers, but what it really gives you is a third scenario for your business – a second chance at winning. A scenario where you work with ONE company. ONE company that will let you work directly with the experts that built its platform. ONE company that specializes in every department a growing business would need to scale – sales, marketing, operations, organizational and procedural consulting, custom software, you name it.
It sounds like a dream, but in truth, it’s already a reality. Rave Retailer isn’t just an ecommerce platform. It’s an empowering tool that lets you become the best version of yourself as a business owner because it lets you focus on the most important thing – growing your business! What the platform really sells is an opportunity to win in every scenario and not settle for a “safe” decision because you’re trying to lose less than having the mindset of winning more. Rave Retailer is a series of cogs that fit together, and it works!
